03 FAQ
Why do some country flags show as two letters?
A country flag is a pair of regional-indicator letters (πΊπΈ = U+1F1FA U+1F1F8). If a device or app doesn't support that flag, it falls back to showing the two letters instead of the flag image.
What does the π© red flag emoji mean?
Literally a warning or golf marker, but online it almost always means a metaphorical "red flag", a warning sign about a person or situation.
Why don't some flags appear on Windows?
Windows historically renders country flags as two letters rather than flag images. The emoji is valid and copies correctly; it just displays differently there than on iPhone, Android and Mac.
