Triangle characters point in every direction, ▲ up, ▼ down, ▶ right, ◀ left, in filled (black) and outline (white) styles. They stand in for play buttons, sort arrows, warning markers and bullet points that never break across fonts. Copy any from the keys below; in Word, type the code shown and press Alt + X.

03 FAQ
How do I type a ▲ triangle symbol?
Copy it from the keys above, or in Word type the code then Alt+X, 25B2 for ▲, 25BC for ▼, 25B6 for ▶. There is no plain Windows Alt+number code for them, so copy or Alt+X is easiest.
What is the difference between ▲ and △?
▲ (U+25B2) is a solid/filled triangle; △ (U+25B3) is an outline. Both point up. Every direction has a black and a white version, pick the one that suits your design.
Which triangle is the "play" button?
The right-pointing ▶ (U+25B6, Black Right-Pointing Triangle) is the classic play glyph. Pair it with ⏸ or ⏹ for pause and stop. Copy ▶ from the keys above.
