How do I type the € euro sign on Windows?
Hold Alt and type 0128 on the numeric keypad, or press AltGr+E on most European layouts. You can also copy it from the key above, it pastes as the real Euro Sign (U+20AC) everywhere.
What is the ₹ Indian rupee sign and how do I type it?
₹ (U+20B9) is India's official currency sign. On an English (India) keyboard press AltGr+4. Elsewhere, copy it above or in Word type 20B9 then Alt+X. The older "Rs." abbreviation is text, not this symbol.
Is ¥ the Japanese yen or the Chinese yuan?
The same sign (U+00A5) is used for both, Japanese yen and Chinese yuan/renminbi share it. Context tells them apart; some Chinese contexts also write 元 or 圆.
